🏗️ Update on Regen Facades

Dear Residents,

We wanted to update you on today’s court hearing regarding our application to restrain Regen Facades from commencing works at Maltings Close.

Unfortunately, the injunction was not granted at this stage because our leases do not permit us collectively to challenge this. However, the Court noted that Regen’s programme is already delayed by around a year, and they are still awaiting various approvals before any works can lawfully begin.

Regen has now been formally informed that we intend to obtain a new, independent EWS1 assessment, ensuring that any future works do not place leaseholders at further financial risk.

The good news is that the Maltings Close Residents Association was incorporated on Tuesday and can now bring a claim. We will evaluate whether it is prudent to reissue it in that entity’s name.
Given that there is no likelihood that works will start anytime soon, we may not need to proceed — especially as the MCRCM is expected to take over by then. In that case, we can ask Bellway to employ another contractor or provide the relevant assurances.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement as we work to protect the interests and safety of all residents.

Kind regards,
Maltings Close Residents Association
