Dear Residents,
We wanted to update you on important developments regarding the building safety works and our recent engagement with Regen Facades.
Following the strength of the case prepared by the Maltings Close Residents Association Limited (MCRA Ltd) to restrain unsafe or premature works, we are now in constructive resolution discussions with Regen Facades. Both sides recognise that the goal is to move forward safely and sensibly — not to delay essential remediation.
Given the likelihood that Twelve Trees Management Company (TTMC) will be wound up by the court in the coming weeks (unless they can locate over ÂŁ450,000 to satisfy creditors), Regen understands that they will soon be dealing directly with MCRA Ltd and/or Maltings Close Residents Management Company (MCRMC).
Regen, having been through their own insolvency restructuring under Jessella, appreciate the importance of transparency and good communication as we move into this new chapter.
TTMC have indicated they may call an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to consider handing over management formally — a step we would welcome, provided that MCRA Ltd will not assume any of TTMC’s debts or liabilities.
🔍 Due Diligence and Site Visits
As part of our ongoing review, the MCRA Committee will be visiting other Regen Facades sites to meet residents and directors of similar developments.
We want to hear first-hand what has worked well and what hasn’t — particularly regarding living conditions, safety, and aftercare.
This feedback will help us ensure that any future works at Maltings Close are held to the highest standards and do not repeat mistakes seen elsewhere.
🤝 Working Towards a Fair Resolution
Regen’s solicitors have asked that we pause sending further legal documents while they consider our proposed terms and undertakings.
We have agreed to hold off for now, to allow time for a meaningful and responsible resolution process.
We will always stand up for what we believe is right, act with integrity, and carry out proper due diligence.
If a dispute can be resolved through clear undertakings and mutual accountability, we will move forward — but never at the expense of residents’ safety or fairness.
Thank you, as always, for your continued trust and support.
Warm regards,
Amar Lodhia
Director & Chairman
Maltings Close Residents Association Limited
